Calling All Business Women Leaders

Hello Friends,
We are re-posting this information, with new details. Enjoy!

2010 holds exciting things for the Koinonia Business Women's organization. You may have heard about a few things already, but I want to let you in on one segment of our plans.
Starting in February, local chapters of Koinonia Business Women (officially called "KBWomen Chapters") will start in several cities around the country. Tammy and I have run an Olympia group meeting for the past 16 months! It's time to offer this same networking and learning opportunity to other women of faith in other areas.

Would you like to be a Chapter Leader and start a KBWomen Chapter in your city?
We are looking for spiritually mature women with business ownership experience to lead chapters. Chapters have a monthly meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month for 90 minutes. In these meetings, Christian business women come together for:

  • Networking
  • Building Relationships
  • Getting Leads
  • Support
  • Prayer
  • Encouragement
  • Business Skill Discussions
  • Idea Sharing
  • To get more information about what KBWomen offers

If this sounds interesting to you, and you believe other women in your area would enjoy attending with other like-minded women of faith, please consider becoming a Chapter Leader. Leaders will have special benefits, and free membership in our organization (membership system opens March 1st). Leaders also have a special application process to be sure that this is a "best fit" for everyone.

To view the FAQ pages about leadership, membership benefits and chapter meetings, please visit this link. We look forward to meeting you!

Twitter Class & KBWomen Radio

Hello Readers,
We're getting ready for our Twitter Class this evening in Olympia, WA. It will be a great time of learning some social media skills for all the twitter-wanna be's! It will also be an opportunity for Christian business women to network while learning some new skills. If you'd like to follow us on Twitter, you can do so here - www.twitter.com/kbwomen.

Also this week, we have KBWomen Radio this Thursday morning at 9:30am PST. It's not our usual show, in that we have no special guest to interview this week. Tammy and I are going to be divulging some upcoming events and special things that are happening with the Koinonia Business Women's organization. So, if you are a Christian woman in business...tune in. You can listen to the 'live' show or the archived recording here: www.blogtalkradio.com/kbwomen. We'll have the live chat feature on, in case you'd like to ask questions!

Blessings to you all,
Krista

Great Local Businesswomen's Meeting!

Hello friends,
We had a wonderful time at our live Olympia Koinonia Business Women's meeting last night. Welcome to new attenders Chris Creekpaum and Diana Wise! Our discussion touched on what Christian businesswomen want and need, how we can create opportunities to network together, more about KBWomen Radio, what business skill building topics are of interest right now, as well as answering individuals' questions about their current business challenges.

Tammy and I met last weekend to hash out some upcoming plans for the Koinonia Business Women's organization. Although we are both busy entrepreneurs with other ventures, Koinonia Business Women is becoming something we must focus on (and want to!!) to develop the organization's huge, exciting potential. This is truly where our hearts are! Out of our meeting (and last night's meeting) came several things:

  • Koinonia Business Women will become a membership-based organization. Several added-value benefits are listed below.
  • Spend more time promoting members on KBWomen.com, e.g., every member will have profiles on KBWomen.com (search engines seem to like our site and current members have been 'found' in search results because of their ads in our *BLING* e-zine or because they were listed as a 'featured member' in *BLING*).
  • More emphasis on networking with each other.
  • We may create workshops for members, by members, to attend free (others can pay to get in) on important business topics, skills or other fun business expo events.
  • Members will receive audio files with great faith-based business info from experts who we interview.
  • KBWomen Radio may switch to 45 min rather than 30. KBWomen Radio has some AMAZING guests scheduled for 2009.
  • Create specific business owner groups to do deeper, individualized business strategizing.
  • Set up an online prayer request system.
  • Have a "members only" online community.
  • Start our live group #2 in the Tacoma area.
  • In the future, we will launch KBWomen's groups nationwide/worldwide.
Thoughts? Comments? We'd love to get some feedback on these ideas. Even if you are reading this from somewhere other than Western Washington, there are ways that you can be involved with Koinonia Business Women! Sign up to receive our e-Zine called *BLING*, listen to KBWomen Radio (schedule), sign up for our business builders mastermind/business strategies group (meets via webinar/teleseminar), advertise your business or service on KBWomen Radio, in *BLING* or on our website, or consider starting your own Koinonia Business Women's group meeting in your area (coming soon). No expertise required, you just need to invite people and love on them!

Thanks!
Krista & Tammy
