Savvy Business Strategies Workshop Review!

Hello Friends,

Just a quick report about our fun business workshop in Tacoma, WA last week! It was a great success!

Here are a couple of photos of some the ladies working hard on creating their elevator pitch. OK, that didn't sound quite right... What I meant to say was that EVERYONE worked hard on creating their elevator pitches, and these photos show some of the ladies!! If you weren't able to make it, but are curious about what we covered, here was the workshop link: www.kbwomen.com/workshop.htm.

We've received some really good feedback about the workshop. One thing that we've realized since, is that there are several supporting topics that need to be thoroughly reviewed. Coming in late June, we'll be diving into these important business topics on a 5-week, 5-session teleseminar series. Get more details HERE. You can participate from anywhere via phone!

We look forward to getting together with all our Koinonia Business Women soon. Thank you to Amy, Trisha, Chris, Deborah, Lori, Kathy, Brooke, Linda, Stephanie, Chonita, Sharris, Laura, Emily, Carly, and to Mary & Julie (who couldn't make it after all) for participating in the workshop last week! Thank you again to the Metropolitan Apartments for the fabulous workshop venue!

Blessings to you, Krista & Tammy

You are My lady, a woman by My design!

By Dianne Berquist

I created you in My image—
lovingly and tenderly fashioned you by My own hand.

And you are unique—truly, you’re one of a kind! You are wonderfully and fearfully made!
In all the world there never has been—nor ever will be—another just like you!

No one else will possess the same blending of physical characteristics, emotional strengths and weaknesses; no one else will possess your sense of humor and the music of your laughter.

I have placed within you the ability to dream the dreams I have for you, as well as the desire to see them fulfilled.

What I see in you and for you is far beyond what you’ve allowed yourself to envision. Every time you’ve even come close to releasing yourself into greatness, you suddenly catch your breath--and pull back into what you know.

By forfeit you’ve allowed yourself to be limited—you have heeded the perception of those who do not see you or know you as I do, rather than defining yourself by your Divine heritage.

Close your eyes and dream with Me. I see you walking in beauty that flows from deep within the core of your being, radiating through your countenance. Your touch is gentle and reassuring. Your voice is warm and filled with love, for you speak out of the overflow of your heart. Within you are special talents and abilities which I have entrusted to you. No one can express them the way you can, for the uniqueness of who you are colors all that you do.

Your presence is a fragrance---first to Me, and then in the lives of those around you.
You have the ability to impact people and situations simply by being there, and being who I’ve created you to be.

Come, My lady, and dance with Me to the music of My love for you. When the storms of life blow strong against you, I will hold you close to My heart and shelter you there. Whenever your heart is wounded, I will heal the hurt and gently dry your tears—you are safe in My arms. And when the times of great joy come, we will celebrate together.

I am devoted to you! I will never, no never, leave you nor forsake you—and I will never fail you, because I love you.

You are My lady---will you allow Me to be your Lord?

After Mother's Day - Back Into Full Swing

Hope all of you moms had a great Mother's Day weekend - we sure did. Spending time with our families was a nice, refreshing time.

We also realize that Mother's Day can be painful or sorrowful for many. The loss of a cherished mom, the loss of a child, longing for children who have separated themselves from a family, or even wishing you were a mother or that some wish their own mothers had been better role models. We pray for you.

Speaking of role model moms...Who is yours? If we look to the Bible, we can see many examples of great mothers, as well as some pretty bad ones too. Such is life. One notable mom can be a role model for all of us - the Proverbs 31 woman. Read a full article about the Proverbs 31 woman.

She's efficient, trustworthy, loving, generous, resourceful, skilled, dedicated to her family, organized, and she has earned the God-given reward that faithfulness, diligence and wisdom brings. OK, a tough act to follow? Sure - but she makes for a great role model for us to look up to. We may each need some help in some of those areas, but we're on our way. God is faithful to finish the work He has started in us!

Keep up doing the good work moms and ladies. The impact you have on the world around you is bigger than you may realize.

National Day of Prayer

May 7th is our country's official "National Day of Prayer"

Please join us at The Wall of Prayer - http://www.thewallofprayer.com/ - a community of hope and encouragement, dedicated to praying for the needs of others as well as sharing our own needs.

On this special day, we believe God would ask us as believers to pray for the following important things:

  1. Pray for the peace of Israel
  2. Pray for the saints around the world
  3. Pray for our leaders, pastors, government officials, etc.
  4. Stand in the gap for this country and pray for God's mercy

You say you don't have time to pray? Here are some practical ideas:

  1. Pray as you drive
  2. Pray in the shower/bathroom
  3. Pray as you cook or clean
  4. Pray as you walk or exercise
  5. Pray when you wake up in the morning and are still laying in bed
  6. Pray as you go to bed
  7. Pray on a lunch break at work

"...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

You are blessed to be a blessing to others. -Krista & Tammy
